What does having it all mean?

What you need to live a fulfilling life changes over time. Having enough to enjoy life at all phases of life is a blessing

Joshua Munywoki

To me, having it all means living a simple and well balanced life that has enough of the following:

  • Physical well-being: to achieve this, I practice regular physical activity and healthy eating habits
  • Mental well-being: Philippians 4:8 (BBE) For the rest, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatever things are of value, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, give thought to these things.
  • Social well-being: I learned that having more relationships than I need is key to thriving in life – for you never know when you shall need who
  • Emotional well-being: I try my best to be real – objectively see things as they are. I minimize judging anything as good/bad, should/should not by exploring the best forward for every situation that requires my subjective opinion
  • Spiritual well-being: I uphold my spiritual well-being by frequently building my understanding a wide range of topics – politics, psychology, economics, religion among others
  • Economic well-being: the minimalist movement has taught me that the more things I own, the more the things own me. I purchase/keep what is absolutely necessary and all my purchases do factor value for money
  • Professional well-being: work is important to life having meaning. I strive to work in a manner as to advance the well-being of others

My key to having it all is in the quantity rather than quality. It also requires a balancing of acts so that none subdues the others e.g., being too social would cost my productivity, while being too frugal would limit my mental well-being

What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?
